Epic Games’ Director of Publishing Strategy and our former colleague Sergey Galenkin, who left Epic in October 2023, has joined the Scottish studio Build A Rocket Boy as Senior Vice President of Publishing. Sergiy announced this on Twitter/X.

Build A Rocket Boy was founded in 2016 by former Rockstar North director, producer, and lead game designer of the Grand Theft Auto series Leslie Benzis, and his Rockstar colleagues Matthew Smith and Colin Entwistle.

Since 2017, Build A Rocket Boy has been working on the Everywhere project, a community platform for creating games based on the Unreal Engine. It’s something like Roblox or Dreams, but on a serious engine.

In March 2023, the studio announced its first game within Everywhere – MindsEye. In December 2023, the first closed testing of Everywhere took place.

As Sergiy Galyonkin told us during an interview, he does not want to leave the United States, where he has been living for the past few years. And despite the fact that Build A Rocket Boy’s headquarters is located in Edinburgh, Scotland, Sergey has no plans to relocate, as he wrote in BlueSky.
