On May 10, a traditional conference for developers, Google I/O, will be held, which should have a lot of interesting news from the Mountain View company. In particular, we expect to see a new version of the Android operating system, innovations related to Google services, as well as new gadgets: the future flagship line Pixel 8, Pixel Fold foldable smartphone, Pixel Tablet and budget model Pixel 7a.
It was expected that Pixel 7a would go on sale in June approximately a month after the I/O conference. However, new data indicate that the novelty will begin to be delivered to retail stores within the next two weeks. The start of sales should take place the next day after the event from Google – May 11.
Pixel 7a is set to arrive at retail-stores within the next 14 days, so ready to launch @Google #IO2023. No new signs of the Pixel Fold (yet?).
And no, there is no “Jade” colour of the Pixel 7a, different to recent reports.

If you look at the previous years, the Pixel 3a line was released right after the announcement at Google I/O 2019. The following year, the COVID-19 pandemic messed up all the cards, which caused the company to push the release of the Pixel 4a to August. The Pixel 5a release also took place in August. But the Pixel 6a went on sale in July, two months after the announcement.
As for the Pixel 7a, the smartphone will be available in three colors: black, white and blue. The device will receive a Tensor G2 chipset, improved cameras, wireless charging and a 90 Hz display. At the same time, it is expected that the cost of Pixel 7a will also increase – up to $499 ($50 compared to its predecessor).
