Crosby, Stills & Nash are back on Spotify after the platform was boycotted due to misinformation about COVID-19

Music by Crosby, Stills & Nash is back on Spotify. According to Billboard, artists plan to send royalties from the platform to fight against COVID-19 for at least a month.

Despite the band’s return, not all of their music will be available on Spotify. Neil Young is still missing from the platform, so some songs created with his participation will not return. For example, the 1970 album Déjà Vu will be missing the tracks Helpless and Country Girl.

In February, the supergroup pulled their music from the platform to protest the misinformation about COVID-19 spread by Joe Rogan on his podcasts. At the time, Spotify didn’t take any steps to limit it.

Crosby, Stills & Nash is not the only one to do so. In response to Rogan’s interview with vaccine sceptic Dr. Robert Malone, musician Neil Young, singer Joni Mitchell, podcast host Brené Brown and others.

The protest had almost no impact on Spotify’s earnings. The company recently reported that its monthly users had grown to 422 million. Joe Rogan was not removed from the platform, but some episodes of his podcast were removed. In response to the protest, the company promised to add a content warning to all its COVID-19 releases.
