Attackers from the Rhysida group, who stole Insomniac Games’ data and demanded a ransom, started publishing Wolverine footage and other information. In total, 1.67 TB of data was leaked online, which is about 1.3 million files.

According to Cyberdaily, Rhysida, which demanded $2 million from Insomniac Games but never received it, published personal information of employees, screenshots from Slack channels, and even PC contents in addition to details about future games.

Of course, plans for future projects were also merged. Wolverine was the hardest hit. The leak showed recordings of the game director, concept art, level and character designs, and many other materials about the game. It was also said that the release is expected no later than September 1, 2025.

In addition, the files revealed that Sony and Insomniac Games are planning three games in the X-Men series, one of which will be the already announced Wolverine game, and two more remain unknown. The budget of each game is about $120 million, and the two unannounced games are planned to be released by the end of 2029 and 2033.

So far, neither Sony nor Insomniac Games have commented on the situation.
