WhatsApp has introduced a switch that will allow users to send high-quality HD images. This was announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, writes The Verge.
“Sharing photos on WhatsApp just got an upgrade,” he noted. “Now you can send in HD.”
Over the next few weeks, the feature will be rolled out to users around the world to send images from Android, iOS, or the web. Recipients will see a special marker that indicates high quality photos. In addition, WhatsApp will soon support HD video.
Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp adds the ability to send short video messages quickly. The feature will work on the principle of voice messages that the service already offers.
Video messages can be up to 60 seconds long and will automatically play without sound when the recipient opens the chat. To send a short video, click on the voice message icon and switch it to video mode.
