Google is working on an AI tool, Genesis, which could come up with a headline for this news

Google showed the heads of several well-known American media the artificial intelligence tool Genesis, which is capable of collecting facts and generating news texts, writes The New York Times.

Information about the development of such technology was confirmed by Google itself.

“In partnership with news publishers, especially smaller publishers, we’re in the earliest stages of exploring ideas to potentially provide AI-enabled tools to help journalists with their work. For instance, AI-enabled tools could assist journalists with options for headlines or different writing styles,” Google spokeswoman Jenn Crider said.

According to her, the company’s goal is to enable journalists to use these technologies in a way that improves their work and productivity.

“IQuite simply these tools are not intended to, and cannot, replace the essential role journalists have in reporting, creating, and fact-checking their articles,” she added.

As you know, technology giants have focused a lot of attention on the development of AI tools. In some places, this causes concern among people – some of them fear that the emergence of such tools will lead to job losses. Others believe that such technologies are dangerous and that they can get out of control and threaten the existence of humanity.

However, such technologies also have positive prospects. For example, according to research company Valoir, artificial intelligence has potential for automation of 40% of the average working day.
