Artificial intelligence has the potential to automate 40% of the average workday. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the research company Valoir, reports ZDNET.

“AI, robotic process automation (RPA), and similar tools and technologies have been around for some time. However, the availability of large language models (LLM) generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Bard, and the embedding of generative AI in various enterprise applications from human resources to customer service to development platforms, is causing companies and their employees to take notice,” says the study.

Valoir conducted a global survey of more than 1,000 employees and validated the findings through interviews with people working in finance, human resources, IT, marketing, operations, sales and service.

The company concluded that automation is already happening in many companies. Employees report that they have automated an average of 20% of previously manual tasks over the past two years.

In addition, more than 50% of workers have experimented with generative AI at home or in the workplace. In general, workers believe that such automation will lead to the replacement of jobs. For example, the average worker believes that 48% of his colleagues may be replaced by automation within the next two years.

We will remind, according to the results of the Resume Builder survey, until 2024 43% of companies plan to start or are already using artificial intelligence (AI) for hiring interviews.
