Samsung starts sales of the ViewFinity S9 monitor in South Korea, where the new product is estimated at about $1,300. First shown at CES 2023 earlier this year, the device is the successor to the ViewFinity S8.

ViewFinity S9 (S90PC) is equipped with an IPS panel with a resolution of 5120×2880 pixels (218 PPI pixel density). Thanks to this, users can edit 4K images and videos without changing their scale. The refresh rate is 60 Hz. The monitor has 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The position of the screen is adjustable in different directions.

Samsung released the ViewFinity S9 5K monitor

The ViewFinity S9 screen has a matte coating that will eliminate glare. The display is calibrated at the factory, but Samsung also offers a quick calibration feature via the SmartThings app. The Thunderbolt 4 port supports charging of connected devices with a power of up to 90 W. The monitor runs on the Tizen operating system and offers a variety of audio and video streaming applications. Built-in speakers are also provided, and the kit includes a 4K Slim Fit webcam that attaches using magnets.
