YouTube is intensifying the fight against fan channels, new rules will apply to them from August 21

YouTube is intensifying up its fight against fan channels and updating its policies. It will be effective from August 21. This was reported by 9to5Google.

According to the new requirements of the platform, users who maintain fan accounts will have to indicate in the name or description of the channel that they do not officially represent a particular person.

So, if a fan channel copies the general look of the official channel, including its profile picture or background, it may be closed.

It was previously reported that YouTube will introduce a 30-second unmissable ads in the platform’s most popular content on TVs. It will be similar to commercials that have aired on broadcast and cable television for decades.

The ad unit will first launch in the US, and later this year it will expand to international markets. YouTube is already selling back-to-back 15-second blocks of commercials.
