At CES 2024, ASUS also unveiled its first gaming mini-PC in the NUC line, which it licensed from Intel last summer. A few months later, the company announced new NUC devices aimed at business users, and now it’s time to turn to gaming: the new ROG NUC was announced along with other devices for gamers in the ROG (Republic of Gamers) line.

The small case (270x180x50 mm) houses a barebone system with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Core Ultra 9 185H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070 discrete graphics. Users can install up to 32 GB of RAM and up to three M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 SSDs.

ASUS ROG NUC can be installed horizontally or vertically on the included stand. The front panel of the case has an SD card reader, two USB ports and an audio jack, while the back panel has Thunderbolt 4, 4 more USB ports, HDMI, 2 DisplayPorts and Ethernet 2.5Gig.

According to the manufacturer, the ASUS ROG NUC is ideally combined with the ROG Raikiri PRO controller (see also our review of the younger model, ROG Raikiri). Of course, there is a proprietary Aura Sync backlight and the Armory Crate utility for customizing the system.

Unfortunately, ASUS has not yet announced either the launch date or the estimated price.
