Elon Musk says he wants to improve accuracy in posts on the X platform

Posts on social network X that are corrected with the help of the crowdsourced fact-checking service Community Notes will lose their right to a share of the revenue. This was announced by Elon Musk, writes TechCrunch.

“The idea is to maximize the incentive for accuracy over sensationalism,” the billionaire explained.

As you know, X has been accused of an excessive level of disinformation. With this in mind, the EU has recently initiated a formal investigation into Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter, regarding its compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA).

The EU’s concern is related to allegations of spreading illegal content and disinformation on the platform, especially content promoting terrorism, violence, and hate speech.

Community Notes allows users to add notes to posts on X that contain inaccurate or misleading information. The notes are created by community members, not the company.
