The Ukrainian-Maltese 4A Games is hiring specialists and it seems to be a new project, not related [but not certain] to the Metro franchise. Journalists of AIN.UA drew attention to this.

The company is hiring specialists to “develop the next big AAA game,” according to a tweet.

And although the animation accompanying this ad belongs to the Metro series, it seems to be about a new IP object. This conclusion can be drawn from the list of job openings on the company’s website, some of which have the eloquent note NEW IP.

What could this new IP be? According to information from our own sources, it may be the same fantastic shooter with survival elements on a distant planet, the concept of which was developed by Andriy Prokhorov in 2013 and which we recently mentioned.

As a reminder, 4A Games’ last game, Metro Exodus, was released in 2019 and sold more than 6 million copies. Since 2020, 4A Games has been a part of the Swedish holding company Embracer Group, which it is part of through the Russian (formally American) Saber Interactive.

As we’ve already reported, 4A Games is currently working on the shooter Metro 4, which is returning to Moscow.

In addition, it has recently become known that the Ukrainian studio RedBeat Games is working on a mobile project Metro: The Outpost, which is set in Kyiv.
