Microsoft is launching Age of Empires IV on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles, as well as Game Pass subscription. The strategy game was announced for Xbox consoles last year with a promise of release in 2023, writes The Verge.

The game supports resolutions up to 4K on Xbox Series X, 1080p on Xbox Series S, 1440p on Xbox One X, and 900p on Xbox One consoles. The Xbox Series X and S versions support up to 60 frames per second, while the Xbox One version is optimized for 30 frames per second.

As you know, Age of Empires IV was originally released at the end of 2021 on PC, and Microsoft added the game to its PC Game Pass service.

Last year, Age of Empires IV received a major free update – the Anniversary Edition. Moreover, it was dedicated not only to the anniversary of the fourth installment, but also to a much bigger anniversary – last October, the Age of Empires franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary.
