Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will not increase weight and may receive a titanium chassis

Standard flagship smartphones tend to use glass and aluminum for the body. The only exception is the Pro version of the iPhone, which has had a steel frame for several years. This year’s iPhone 15 Pro, according to insider information, is to receive a titanium chassis.

According to the insider Ice Universe, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will also have a titanium frame, and the weight of the entire device will be 233 grams. This way, the next model will not be heavier than the current Galaxy S23 Ultra, which weighs 234 grams, and will also improve its durability, as titanium is much stronger than aluminum.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has already appeared in insider reports. The next flagship of the manufacturer may update the display and increase the resolution of one of the telephoto modules (with 3x optical zoom) from 10 to 50 MP. At the same time, the main sensor, periscope and selfie camera will remain inherited from the current model.

If the company does not change its usual schedule, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is unlikely to appear before the beginning of next year. Until then, we will still have time to learn a lot of details from insiders. But the first mentions already increase the interest in the next update.
