Alfa Romeo is preparing a new electric coupe – the successor to the SZ model
This is confirmed by AUTOCAR, referring to the words of Alfa Romeo drivers. Currently, there is little detailed information about the new product, but the main points are known.
First, it will be an electric car. The latest modern platforms make it possible to build very powerful electric vehicles and flexibly change the size and position of batteries. For the new sports coupe, a power of about 1,000 hp and the possibility of installing the battery as low as possible in the floor are expected.
Secondly, the new electric car should become an ideological follower of the Alfa Romeo SZ – it will have a similar design and exterior elements: for example, triple headlights. At the same time, the new product should also be the successor of the Alfa Romeo GTV coupe – even the use of the name Alfa Romeo GTV EV is not excluded.
And the third: the debut of the new Alfa Romeo electric sports coupe is planned for the long term – we are talking about the year 2026. By then, more detailed information and spy photos are sure to emerge. We are waiting!
