Asobo Studios and Xbox Game Studios announced a new version of Microsoft Flight SimulatorMicrosoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The developers promise an unprecedented level of simulation and graphics, and as you can see from the trailer, the game will finally have a career mode, in which players will put out forest fires, evacuate the wounded, transport large loads and more. In addition, in the trailer you can see some really unique planes and helicopters, such as the Airbus Beluga cargo plane, the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft, the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane helicopter, etc. plus gliders, airships and balloons. Also, the game will finally feature a change in the color of the vegetation depending on the season. Career mode, like the change of seasons, was also implemented in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with the help of third-party mods and programs, now it will be in the main game.

Of course, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is exclusive to Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11, and the game will be released in 2024, sometime in the fall. It is understood that it will appear on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming from day one.

According to Microsoft, almost all add-ons, airports and aircraft that players purchased for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will also work in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, no additional purchase required. In addition, even after the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the company promises to continue supporting Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

And so as not to return to this twice, Asobo and Xbox Game Studios have announced the free Dune DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, which adds the House Atreides ornithopter from the movie to the game. The supplement will be released simultaneously with the premiere of the film Dune: Part Two on November 3, 2023.
