Oscar-winning director Denis Villeneuve presented the first trailer of the film Dune: Part Two, the long-awaited sequel to the movie Dune, which was released in 2021 and was awarded six Oscars. The film was created by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, and it follows the star-studded film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune.

Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, and Austin Butler starred in the film.

Dune: Part Two will tell about the mythical journey of Paul Atreides, who teams up with the Chani and Fremen to take revenge on the rebels who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he tries to prevent a terrifying future that only he can foresee.

Villeneuve directed the film based on a screenplay he co-wrote with John Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The director also continued to work with his creative colleagues: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser, production designer Patrice Vermette, editor Joe Walker, visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert and Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer once again participated in the creation of the soundtrack for Dune. Part Two.

The film is slated for release on November 2, 2023.
