The Peugeot 3008 car is being prepared for presentation at the end of this year, sales will start in early 2024. It is worth noting that for the Peugeot company, the Peugeot 3008 SUV is one of the bestsellers – and therefore the stakes for the new generation of the model are very high. So what is special about it?
For example, a new body shape “crossover coupe” in the style of Peugeot 408. This will make the Peugeot 3008 model even more interesting in design and at the same time further distance the car from the larger and more practical crossover Peugeot 5008 of the new generation. In addition, the new Peugeot 3008 model will receive a wide radiator grille, vertical daytime running lights, sloping rear dimensions – everything, as in the updated Peugeot 508.
In the interior, better quality finishing materials and the appearance of new modern driver assistance systems are expected. So, the new Peugeot 3008 will be a worthy competition not only for models of the mass segment but also for representatives from the “premium” world.
However, perhaps the most interesting changes should take place under the hood of the new product. The new generation Peugeot 3008 will receive the maximum range of electrified power units. For example, 136-horsepower hybrid based on a 1.2-liter gasoline engine. Moreover, instead of the usual 8-speed automatic transmission, a 6-speed eDCT will be used. In addition, the appearance of a fully electric version is expected – an SUV Peugeot e-3008 should cover about 700 km on one full battery charge.
Finally, electrification will make it possible to create a Peugeot 3008 with all-wheel drive: the rear wheels will be rotated by a separate electric motor. Currently, this scheme is used only in the expensive PHEV version of the Peugeot 3008, but for the new generation of the model, the AWD option should become more common. So, we are waiting for the official debut of the new Peugeot 3008.
