Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that Starlink Ukraine, which is a representative of the satellite Internet project from SpaceX Elon Musk, has received an operator’s license in Ukraine.

“The company has just been entered in the Register of Providers of Electronic Communications Networks and Services at No. 1. The SpaceX representative office will soon start active work in Ukraine!” wrote Fedorov.

After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Starlink activated its satellite Internet in Ukraine and handed over thousands of terminals, which provided communication, including on the front line, and even restore some base stations of mobile operators.

According to the data of Apptopia, a data research company, Starlink has approximately 150,000 active daily users in Ukraine. This makes Ukraine one of the largest markets for the company. So opening a representative office was a logical step for it. Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on April 19.

According to the data of YouControl, Starlink Ukraine LLC was registered on April 27, the authorized capital of the company is UAH 50. It can provide wired and wireless services, as well as conduct other activities in the field of telecommunications.
