Denis Rudy, former level designer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, presented a new horror game about Lysa Hora in Kyiv — LYSA HORA: The Haunted Hill. At the same time, he announced that his other project, BRUTALIST, will be slightly rethought and news about it will appear later.
Denis Rudy says that LYSA HORA: The Haunted Hill is the embodiment of his old idea, created in a short time. The game emphasizes the atmosphere: players will explore an abandoned location inspired by real terrain, passing through tunnels, hidden laboratories and ancient sanctuaries. They will face puzzles that require logic and attentiveness, as well as obstacles that will have to be overcome using parkour.
"Lysa Hora in Kyiv has always been shrouded in dark legends. Whispers tell of pagan rituals, secret military bunkers, and experiments that were never meant to be seen. But for the protagonist, it all begins with nightmares. At night, visions of underground chambers and strange symbols haunt his sleep; by day, an uneasy feeling lingers, as if the dreams themselves are calling.Drawn by these recurring visions, he sets out for Lysa Hora to uncover what lies behind them. With every step, the boundary between dream and reality grows thinner, and soon it becomes clear — the nightmares were only the beginning," the synopsis says.
The release date for LYSA HORA: The Haunted Hill is currently unknown, but the game has already received a page on Steam, where you can add it to your wishlist so as not to miss important updates.
Recall that Denis Rudy worked as the head of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 level design team from 2019 to 2023. In 2024, he presented his first project BRUTALIST - a meditative third-person game where players need to explore paths, find passages, solve puzzles, beware of radiation, monitor oxygen levels to find a green paradise where you can still breathe easily. The game also has a gameplay trailer.
