Apple usually tries to prevent leaks of information about its future products, but this time it accidentally revealed plans for a MacBook Air with an M4 processor. This was reported by MacRumors.
Along with iOS 18.2, the company released macOS Sequoia 15.2 for laptops. The system mentions devices that have not yet been presented – Mac16.12 and Mac16.13. Both of these designations indicate future MacBook Air models.
The leak mentions 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M4 processors, as well as a possible release in 2025. This indicates that the company is actively preparing laptop updates and their release may happen soon.
As a reminder, Apple released the current generation of the MacBook Air with the M3 processor in March 2024. At the same time, it became known that the M3 model has a faster SSD than previous versions. After that, the company also increased the minimum amount of RAM for devices to 16 GB.
