The lineup of Apple’s cheapest laptops now comes with a minimum of 16 GB of RAM. The changes affect the 13-inch model with the M2 chip, the 13-inch model with the M3 chip, and the 15-inch model with the M3 chip.

In addition, the top configurations of the MacBook Air now also include 24 GB of RAM. As for the price, it hasn’t changed. The MacBook Air version with the M2 processor costs $999, and the model with the M3 chip starts at $1099.

As a reminder, the latest 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M3 chip were released in March 2024. According to rumors, Apple is already preparing an update with M4 chips. New models are expected in the spring of 2025.
