OPPO does not plan to release a smartphone that will consist of three parts in the near future. This was announced by the company’s president Liu Bo, IT Home reports.

At a communications meeting at OPPO’s flagship store, Liu explained that while the tri-fold form factor has been part of their research in the past, they don’t see enough market demand for such a device right now.

Liu Bo emphasized that OPPO’s main strategy is to focus on creating high-quality mobile phones and key peripherals. He believes that there is still room for improvement in the existing categories. The company wants to prioritize improving these areas before exploring new form factors.

By the way, Huawei, which recently announced the world’s first triple-folding smartphone, the Mate XT, believes that this is the future. The Chinese manufacturer is so confident in this category of smartphones that it plans to launch a new product on the global market.
