At the Always Incredible presentation held at IFA 2024, ASUS unveiled a new portfolio of ASUS Copilot+ computers. The devices are equipped with new Intel Core Ultra 200V processors, also known as Lunar Lake. The update with Copilot+ features for computers with Intel processors will be released in November.
The new Zenbook S 14 (UX5406) is the company’s thinnest 14-inch laptop yet. It is only 1.1 cm thick and weighs 1.2 kg. The workspace above the keyboard features a geometric grille made up of 2,715 CNC-machined vents. This design increases airflow and improves heat dissipation for maximum performance.
Despite its slim form factor, Zenbook S 14 is powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 200V with an NPU module with up to 48 TOPS. The body has a 3K OLED Lumina display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a four-speaker audio system. AI-powered noise cancellation ensures clear audio during conferences, and the full HD AiSense IR camera supports AI effects to enhance video communications.
In addition, the Zenbook S 14 comes with a 72 Wh battery, a full range of ports, and advanced security features. The larger touchpad with a 16:10 aspect ratio supports intuitive smart gestures, allowing users to easily adjust the display brightness and sound volume. The device also features up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB or 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
ASUS also introduced theZenbook S 16 (UX5606), a thin and light 16-inch portable laptop that features an Intel Core Ultra 200V processor and the same features and specifications as the smaller model. It will serve as a choice for mobile users who need a larger screen.
Another new product is the ASUS Vivobook S 14 (S5406SA). It combines high performance with minimalist aesthetics in a thin, all-metal body that weighs only 1.3 kg at 1.39 cm thick. Equipped with the ASUS IceCool cooling system with two IceBlade fans, each with 97 blades, and two groups of vents, this laptop delivers a maximum TDP of 35W even under heavy workloads.
Thanks to a processor of up to Intel Core Ultra 7 200V with an NPU performance of up to 47 TOPS, the Vivobook S 14 laptop will perfectly cope with AI applications. A separate Copilot key allows you to quickly open the AI assistant if necessary, and the 75 Wh battery, according to the company, provides up to 22 hours of battery life.
The company notes the ergonomic design, including the ASUS ErgoSense keyboard with customizable single-zone RGB backlighting and the ErgoSense touchpad for increased comfort and control. In addition, the device features Wi-Fi 7 wireless, a wide range of ports, a 16:10 3K 120Hz display, and a Dolby Atmos audio system certified by Harman Kardon. The laptop also has up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 Flip (TP3407) is a transforming laptop designed for work and study. Thanks to a special hinge, the laptop screen can open 360°, turning it into a tablet with support for the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus. The laptop is made in a thin and light body that weighs only 1.5 kg with a thickness of 1.7 cm. In the maximum configuration, Vivobook 14 Flip is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 200V processor with an NPU module with a performance of up to 47 TOPS for AI computing.
The device has a 75 Wh battery, a Wi-Fi 7 wireless module, and a wide range of ports for easy connection of peripherals. The Harman Kardon-certified audio system supports Dolby Atmos technology. Vivobook 14 Flip is equipped with a 14-inch full HD NanoEdge touchscreen display.
ASUS has also introduced the Vivobook 16 Flip (TP3607) with the same set of features, but a larger 16-inch OLED display with 3K resolution.
Another ASUS novelty is the ExpertBook P series laptops, which, according to the company, “mark a significant step forward in AI-based computing for entrepreneurs, professional users, and small businesses.”
The flagship ExpertBook P5 (P5405) is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 200V processors and features ASUS AI ExpertMeet tools, which provide AI-powered capabilities that enhance online conferencing with features such as translation, subtitles, meeting summaries, noise reduction, and business watermarks.
Utilizing the new Intel processor equipped with an NPU with up to 47 TOPS of AI performance and up to 120 TOPS of total performance, the ExpertBook P5 is suitable for running any AI application.
The company also notes that the laptop offers up to 28 hours of autonomy in video playback mode or 20 hours of work in office programs. The series also includes new ExpertBook P3 (P3405/P3605) and ExpertBook P1 (P1403/P1503) models.
ASUS plans to expand its commercial lineup with devices of other form factors, including desktops and monoblocks, which are scheduled for release in 2025. The company has alreadyintroduced the NUC 14 Pro AI minicomputer, which is also equipped with new Intel Core Ultra 200V processors.
