Elon Musk’s X platform introduces the ability to make audio and video calls for Android users. This was reported by one of the X engineers working on the project, according to TechCrunch.

According to him, the new feature will be available after the app update.

“Audio and video calls on X slowly rolling out for android users today! update your app and call your mother” the engineer wrote.

Elon Musk announced the calls on the platform last spring. At the time, he claimed that the company was working on a new voice and video chat feature that would work similarly to FaceTime. Users will be able to make calls on Twitter to communicate with people anywhere in the world without giving them their phone number.

In October last year, the social network’s audio and video calling feature was launched for iOS users.

It is noteworthy that anyone can receive a call on the platform, but only paid users can make them. X allows users to turn calls on or off and control who can call them.
