X (ex-Twitter) has introduced audio and video calls. On Wednesday, users started receiving mass notifications about the new feature.

Calls are available in private messages, through the phone icon in the upper right corner. There you can choose to make an audio or video call. However, the user you want to call must have the appropriate settings for this, as the function can be completely disabled.

In the settings on the private messages page, you can now find separate toggles for calls. You can restrict calls to certain users, such as your contacts or followers, or turn them off completely.
