Meta and IBM create an initiative called AI Alliance to share artificial intelligence technologies, reports Bloomberg.

The Alliance will bring together more than 40 companies and organizations. They will focus on the responsible development of AI, including safety and security tools. The group will also work to increase the number of open AI models.

“We believe it’s better when AI is developed openly — more people can access the benefits, build innovative products and work on safety,” stated in Meta.

The alliance members include: Oracle Corp., Advanced Micro Devices Inc., Intel Corp. and Stability AI, as well as academic and research organizations. At the same time, OpenAI, which is the developer of ChatGPT, is not a member of this group.

Recently, the US, the UK, and 16 other countries agreed to secure AI technologies. They agreed that companies should design and implement AI in a way that protects customers and the general public from abuse. At the same time, they urge developers to make such systems safe by design.
