Apart from a new trailer with the Rogue, we finally have a little more information about the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 campaign. The project manager Yevhen Hryhorovych and the game’s executive producer Maria Hryhorovych told the Chinese edition of Gamersky.

It became known that the storyline campaign of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will feature approximately 40 hours of gameplay. As in the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro series, the player’s decisions made during the campaign will affect the ending, which the new game has four. Side quests will also have different options for completion and endings. As a reminder, the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. had seven endings, five so-called fake endings and two real ones.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will feature full-fledged stealth, and many obstacles in the game scene can be destroyed. In addition, the developers noted that all monsters in the game have their own AI, including group AI, for example, for packs of dogs.

According to the developers, the use of new technologies, namely the Unreal 5 engine, allowed them to create a huge seamless open world, and the global lighting system helped to make the transitions of day and night and various weather conditions more realistic.

Regarding the system requirements and modes of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, on Xbox Series X, the developers are trying to achieve a stable 60 fps in performance mode, or 30 fps in quality mode. On Xbox Series S, the game will run at 30 fps. On PCs, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 can be run on GTX 1060, but of course with minimal graphics settings.

According to the latest data, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is scheduled for release on Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S in the first quarter of 2024.
