New Dacia Duster crossover: larger dimensions, hybrid motors, all-wheel drive

Today, the third-generation Dacia Duster crossover made its debut – a very popular and therefore very important car for Europe and Ukraine. Of course, we still have to wait for the local version of the Renault Duster, but the debut of the Dacia Duster is 90% clear what we will eventually get. So what exactly is it?

For example, it has increased in size and changed its design. The new Dacia Duster is now 4.34 meters long and has many Y-shaped elements in the headlights and lanterns. However, the convex wheel arches and a remarkable dark insert on the front fender are still there. And there is a new HYBRID inscription.

That’s because two of the three engines on offer are hybrids. Thus, the HYBRID 140 version has a 1.6-liter gasoline atmospheric engine and an electric motor, which together are capable of producing 140 horses. The TCe 130 version is built around a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which is assisted by an MHEV hybrid and together they produce 130 horses. Finally, the last variant, the TCe 100, is also not easy: it uses a 1-liter 100-horsepower engine that can run on gasoline or LPG.

The Renault Duster still uses the CMF-B platform and still allows you to get a version with 4×4 all-wheel drive, which looks pretty good considering the 217 mm ground clearance. In addition, a manual or automatic transmission is provided, depending on the engine.

Finally, there is a new interior. The Renault Duster crossover now boasts a 7-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch center display. There are also a lot of useful accessories and 30 mm more space for rear passengers.

Are you already interested in the new Renault Duster? But you’ll have to wait: even in Europe, sales will start only next year. However, there is no doubt that the new Renault Duster will once again be a hit!
