The add-on for Cities: Skylines 2 was postponed to improve the game itself

Colossal Order Studio, the developer of Cities: Skylines 2, has shared plans for further content and said that it is postponing the expansion to focus on improving the game’s state, writes Eurogamer.

For now, the studio is focused on improving the game’s PC experience before it can start creating new content or even versions of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (which it currently promises to release next spring).

The first set of Beach Properties assets has been postponed from the end of 2023 to the beginning of 2024. All subsequent sets and expansions are planned to be released in the second quarter of next year, which falls between April and June.

Earlier, the developers told us that the game was created with the aim of getting 30 FPS, but now Colossal Order is actively working on improving optimization.
