Elon Musk announced two levels of premium subscriptions to X, their cost is still unknown

Elon Musk has announced his intention to soon launch two levels of premium subscriptions on the X platform, reports TechCrunch.

According to the billionaire, one of the announced subscriptions will be cheaper than the existing paid plan worth $8 per month. At the same time, the amount of advertising in it will not decrease.

The second level will cost more, but it will completely remove advertising. The cost of future levels is still unknown.

“One is lower cost with all features, but no reduction in ads, and the other is more expensive, but has no ads,” Elon Musk described the future subscription levels for X.

Meanwhile, while new changes are being introduced to the platform, the level of disinformation on it remains high. According to RollingStone, verified accounts on X spread 74% of disinformation about the war between Israel and Hamas. This is confirmed by NewsGuard’s analysis conducted jointly with Adweek.

Using a combination of human and artificial intelligence, NewsGuard analyzed the 250 most popular posts on X containing disinformation that received the most interactions since October 7. The analysis showed that 186 out of 250 accounts were verified.

The posts spreading the false claims received 1,349,979 interactions and were viewed by more than 100 million people around the world in one week. Among the 10 false narratives promoted by verified accounts were fabricated claims that Ukraine was supplying weapons to Hamas.
