Adobe is betting on artificial intelligence and announces three new Firefly generative models. They will add powerful features to Illustrator and Adobe Express and improve Photoshop’s text-to-picture capabilities, writes The Verge.
First of all, we are talking about Firefly Image 2. This is a new version of the original Firefly AI image generator that supports such popular features as Photoshop generative fill.
According to the company, the model produces much higher quality images. This is especially true for small details, such as skin, hair, or facial features when rendering photorealistic people.
Images created with the Firefly Image 2 model have a higher resolution and are characterized by more vivid colors and contrast.
Firefly Image 2 also received new AI-based editing capabilities, including the Hints feature, which will help users improve their AI queries. Also, the Generative Matching feature, which will influence the style of the created content and make it fit specific requirements.
The final result will be accompanied by a digital “label” containing special metadata for attribution and identification of the image as created by AI.
The second model is Firefly Vector for Adobe Illustrator. According to the company, it is the world’s first generative AI model for vector graphics. It allows creating editable vector images with the help of text prompts that automatically divide each graphic element into “logical” groups and layers.
The model is safe for commercial use, as it was developed on the basis of licensed content and public domain content for which the copyright has expired.
The third model is Firefly Design, which generates customizable templates for print, social media, online advertising, and more. Thanks to a new beta version of the text-to-template feature in Adobe Express, the model uses text prompts to create fully editable templates for “all popular proportions.”
The new models are currently only available in beta, and the full launch date is still unknown.
