YouTube Premium subscribers can try the experimental Lock Screen feature

YouTube has added an experimental Lock Screen feature to its Android and iOS app. YouTube Premium subscribers can try it.

Lock Screen allows you to ignore accidental touches on the screen that can pause or rewind the video. To exit this mode, you need to tap on the small button in the center of the screen.

To turn on the Lock Screen function, you need to click on your profile picture in the YouTube application, select Your Premium Benefits > Try new features and click Try it out under the Lock Screen tab. The function can be tested until August 5.
