Yesterday we shared Galaxy Fold5 images, which appear to be press renders. Today, similar photos of the Galaxy Flip5 were posted.

The main innovation of the foldable smartphone will be a significantly enlarged external display. Its diagonal should be 3.4″, which is only slightly smaller than the 3.6″ external screen in the new Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. Samsung is reportedly partnering with Google to adapt some applications to the external screen of the Galaxy Flip5. These will include Google Maps, Google Messages and YouTube. The company is also working on optimizing its proprietary applications for an external display.

In general, the Galaxy Flip5 should be quite similar to its predecessor. In addition to the external display, another big update will be the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Whether Samsung has prepared any other surprises, we will know in a month – the Unpacked presentation is scheduled for July 26.
