Rumors have been circulating on the Internet for quite some time that Samsung may introduce new versions of its foldable smartphones this year a little earlier than usual. We are already used to the company holding the presentation of Fold and Flip at the end of August, and this year the event should take place in July.

It is reported that Galaxy Unpacked will be held on July 26. The presentation will take place in Seoul, although previous events were held in Barcelona, New York and San Francisco. The Galaxy Fold5 and Flip5 are expected to go on sale on August 11.

Such a shift in the graphs may be related to low sales of semiconductor circuits, which significantly affected Samsung’s earnings. Therefore, to reduce the effect of the decline in chip sales, the company will try to release the next-generation foldable smartphones earlier, thereby increasing the revenue in the third quarter of 2023.

Regarding the Galaxy Fold5 and Flip5, one of the main improvements should be a new teardrop-shaped folding mechanism that will make the crease on the screen less noticeable and allow the smartphones to fold without a gap. Both devices will retain the IPX7 water resistance rating and will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chipsets.
