Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion has been announced last year, but since then, CD Projekt RED has been reluctant to share details of the new project — after The Game Awards in December, at which it was announced that one of the new characters would be “played” by the famous actor Idris Elba, there was complete silence.

And now, during the presentation of the Xbox Showcase, the developer has finally revealed what to expect from Phantom Liberty — and most importantly, when. So, the events of the add-on will unfold before the end of the main game, in style it will be a spy thriller, the main character – V, will join forces with FIA agent Solomon Reed (Idris Elba) in the investigation of the shooting down of the orbital shuttle of the president of the New United States of America over the deadliest district of Night City.

CDPR has announced that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is due out on September 26 (almost exactly a year after the announcement that took place during the Night City Wire broadcast on September 6, 2022). The expansion will arrive on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and will cost $29.99, €29.99 or £24.99 depending on the region. The base version of Cyberpunk 2077 will also be required to play the add-on.

And Ukrainian players have an additional reason to wait for the release of Phantom Liberty: as the developer announced, together with the add-on, the game will finally have a Ukrainian localization (unfortunately, only text, without voice acting), which will be available both for the main game and for Phantom Liberty. The add-on already has a Steam page where Ukrainian players can pre-order Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty for UAH 449.
