Sales of games in The Witcher series have exceeded 75 million copies, making it one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. This is reported by The Verge citing figures from CD Projekt Red (CDPR).

At the same time, sales of the game Witcher 3: Wild Hunt amounted to more than 50 million copies. This puts it on par with hits like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Red Dead Redemption 2. These games have sold more than 53 million copies and are among the best-selling games of all time.

The Witcher’s figures are expected to continue to grow in the coming years, as the studio that develops the series has other games in the franchise in development, including a remake of the first game, a new trilogy and a spin-off codenamed Project Sirius.

We will remind that the streaming service Netflix extended The Witcher series without much publicity for another season. The filming of the fourth season of the series will soon begin, and after a short break, the producer will start the fifth.
