The new Volkswagen Tavendor: again a crossover, again from China
It seems that the Chinese car market is limitless. And how else can we explain the constant debut of more and more new cars? Here, for example, is the new Volkswagen Tavendor crossover, which will be produced at the local FAW-Volkswagen plant. And what will it offer?
First, large dimensions: the total length of the body reaches 4.94 meters with a 2.98-meter wheelbase. At the same time, despite these dimensions, the car has only a 5-seater interior – there is no mention of an enlarged 7-seater version.
Secondly, the new Volkswagen Tavendor crossover is built on the MQB platform. The drive can be front or all-wheel drive, and its interior resembles a modern Volkswagen Golf 8 with a pair of large displays. In addition, the platform stipulated the transverse installation of 4-cylinder 2-liter turbo engines (186 or 220 hp) and a 7-speed DSG transmission.
It is expected that the cost of the car will start from $40-45 thousand. An interesting option for purchase? Is it just another “another crossover” without characteristic advantages?
