The second hit (presumably) in Crimea – burning warehouses near Dzhankoi
Another evidence of the existence of long-range weapons in the Armed Forces is spreading on the Internet. Exactly one week after the strike on the Saki air base the ruscist warehouses in the village of Maiske, Dzhankoi district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were hit. A strange coincidence, the nearest positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are again 230-240 km from Maiske. So either this is another cigarette, or our military really has something that can be used to get targets in the deep rear of the enemy.
The explosions in Maiske began at six in the morning, today, August 16, 2022. In many videos published on social networks, you can see the moment of the largest explosion, even with a blast wave, and on some, how separate detonating munitions scattered in the air.
Sergey Aksyonov, the so-called “head” of the temporarily occupied Crimea, responded to the site, and in the meantime, the evacuation of more than two thousand residents began in Maiske. There was even information that the occupation administration ordered to stop the movement of trains, in particular passenger ones, due to damage to the tracks near Dzhankoi. Passengers will be dropped off at Vladyslavivka station, 100 km from Dzhankoi. The Vladyslavivka–Dzhankoi branch is one of the ways of supplying equipment and supplies to the Russian units in Kherson region and Zaporizhzhia.
It is interesting that it is still not clear what exactly the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using to attack Crimea. This is definitely not ATACMS, because on August 12 an unnamed Pentagon official said: “I don’t have the answers to the questions about what happened in Saki. I can tell you that it was not an ATACMS, because we have not given them ATACMS.”
So the same fantastic versions remain: the R-360 Neptune modified for firing at ground targets, the Grim-2/Sapsan which simply does not exist, or the AGM-84H/K SLAM-ER cruise missiles launched from modified fighters of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces. AGM-84H/K SLAM-ER has a flight range of up to 270 km and a warhead of 360 kg, a satellite navigation system with infrared sensor guidance – a very good option for destroying warehouses. But yes, this is all guesswork.
