iPhone 14 Pro will be more expensive, says an Apple insider

According to TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will increase the prices of its upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models, although it is not yet clear how much more expensive they may be.

Kuo periodically shares information about Apple’s contract manufacturers on Twitter, often predicting how changes in the production chain will affect the final product. In one of his latest posts, Kuo wrote that Foxconn would be “one of the winners” from the increase in the average selling price of the upcoming lineup.

The analyst notes that the average selling price for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lines will increase by about 15% year-over-year to between $1,000 and $1,050 when compared to the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro. This will happen due to price increases for the two iPhone 14 Pro models, as well as larger shares of their supply compared to past lines.
