In recent years, Formula 1 has done a lot to promote its brand. In particular, the series Drive to Survive, released on Netflix, has significantly increased the number of fans of “royal car racing” around the world. This year, fans of the series will receive two video games at once: in addition to the traditional F1 2022 simulator from Codemasters and EA Sports, there is also a planned release of F1 Manager 2022 Boss Simulator.

Now Apple Studios has officially signed an agreement to purchase a movie about Formula One. The director will be Joseph Kosinski, whose film Top Gun: Maverick is currently showing excellent results at the box office. The main role in the project went to Oscar winner Brad Pitt.

In the untitled film, Pitt will play an experienced racer. He has already left the race but returned to compete together with a newbie against the titans of his sport. The producers of the movie together with Joseph Kosinski will be Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, as well as the current Formula 1 driver, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The executive producer will be Penni Thow, CEO of Copper.

By the way, for Pitt, this is the second recent agreement with Apple. Together with George Clooney, they will star in a film directed by John Watts, director of the Spider Man trilogy with Tom Holland.
