Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV electric vehicle: 660 km range and 7-seater interior
A new addition to the electric star segment from the famous “star”: the largest electric SUV Mercedes EQS recently debuted. It is easy to guess from the name that the new model is an SUV version of the already famous Mercedes EQS sedan. However, this is not a complete copy of the design – it is better to say that the new car “follows the characteristic style.” And it is built on a joint MEA platform created for electric cars. And it has similar giant dimensions: length 5.125 mm, width – 1.959 mm, height – 1.718 mm, wheelbase – 3.210 mm.
There are three versions for the electric car, which differ in the type of drive and power: rear or all-wheel drive, from 380 to 544 “horses”. But the battery is the same for all three modifications – about 108 kWh. This is enough to ensure a range of up to 660 km on the WLTP cycle.
Among the interesting features of the electric car there is a function of swivel rear wheels and matrix LED headlights, even in the basic configuration. In addition, the electric Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV can also offer the AMG Line, which features its own design of bumpers and wheels with a maximum size of 22 inches.
Finally, in the case of the electric car Mercedes EQS SUV, the interior is worth mentioning. The front end attracts attention thanks to the combination of the company’s MBUX control system and three displays (optional) – one has a diagonal of 17.7 inches plus a pair of 12.3 inches. In turn, the rear will be a real find for a large family, as the electric car has a 7-seater: the middle row offers three separate sections with adjustable position, and behind it there are two additional seats.
So, the new electric Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV takes the status of a flagship and profitably complements the line of already known models EQA, EQB, EQC – the size and format of the interior resembles the positioning of GLS, right?
