realme, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer owned by OPPO, is teasing a new device that will feature a battery capacity of over 10,000 mAh. The official announcement will be made soon — on August 27, 2025.
The post also mentions the 10,000mAh battery that company vice president Chase Xu showed off in a smartphone prototype in May. Despite the size of the battery, the device itself remains quite compact, measuring just 8.5 millimeters thick.
In general, realme often presents quite unique devices with interesting innovations. For example, last year the company showed off SuperSonic, a 320W charger that can charge a 4420mAh battery from 1% to 100% in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
In addition, this year the Chinese company released the realme 14 Pro and realme 14 Pro+ smartphones, which can change color. Another smartphone, the realme GT 7 Pro, which the company introduced last year, was the first in the world to receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Now, realme is also expected to be one of the first manufacturers to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. The new processor is likely to appear in the realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro, which will be officially introduced in October 2025.
