At IFA 2025, Lenovo showed a concept laptop with a display that can be rotated 90° — the ThinkBook VertiFlex. It supports both landscape and portrait orientations and automatically changes them in the system depending on the position of the display.
The company says that the ThinkBook VertiFlex has a 14-inch display and is quite compact, measuring just 17.9 millimeters thick and weighing 1.39 kg. The vertical display mode is suitable for split-screen multitasking, code review, or document viewing.
Meanwhile, in portrait orientation, the ThinkBook VertiFlex can be used to connect to a smartphone via the Lenovo Smart Connect app. This will allow you to mirror the content of your phone on the laptop display.
In all other respects, the concept looks like a regular laptop, and users can use it in landscape orientation if necessary. Unfortunately, Lenovo has not yet revealed other details or said whether the device will appear on the market.
In addition, Lenovo also showed off a concept for a smart laptop stand called Smart Motion. It connects to a device placed on the stand and uses its camera to automatically track the user's face. At the same time, the platform acts as a dock for cables and is equipped with all the necessary ports.
By the way, back at IFA 2025, Lenovo also introduced the second generation of the Legion Go 2 portable game console. It received almost twice the battery capacity, new processors, and a significantly higher price.
Lenovo has released a variety of concept devices over the years. At CES 2025, the company showed off the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable laptop with a sliding display, the Yoga Solar PC with a built-in solar panel, and the ThinkBook Flip AI PC with a foldable display.
