Huawei has unveiled a new tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XTs. This is the second such device from the company, which introduced the Mate XT in September 2024.
The Huawei Mate XTs can have three sizes of OLED display - 6.4 inches, 7.9 and 10.2 in fully unfolded form. The resolution is 232×1008, 2232×2048 and 2232×3184 pixels respectively. The refresh rate is 144 Hz.
The smartphone has a new Kirin 9020 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage. Huawei promises 36% higher performance compared to the Kirin 9010.
As in the first generation, the battery capacity is 5600 mAh with support for 66 W fast charging. In addition, the smartphone has Huawei wireless fast charging with a power of up to 50 W and supports wireless reverse charging with a power of 7.5 W.
The Mate XTs now has three cameras on the back: a 50MP main camera, an updated 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens. The display houses an 8MP selfie camera.
Huawei Mate XTs uses Huawei's own operating system HarmonyOS 5.1 and has four color options. The cost of the smartphone in China starts at $2,520. It is not yet known whether the new product will appear on the global market.
