Toyota has unveiled its new electric vehicle, the Toyota C-HR+: a stylish C-SUV crossover with a stylish design, available with front- or all-wheel drive and a choice of two batteries. However, the debut of the Toyota C-HR+ was not limited to just one: the updated Toyota bZ4X electric vehicle and new versions of the Lexus RZ were also presented.

The new and (not very) compact electric crossover Toyota C-HR+

We know the Toyota C-HR model well, but the new Toyota C-HR+ is not just an electric version of the already well-known car, but a radically different model. And much larger - that's what the "plus" in the name meant.

So, the length of the Toyota C-HR+ is 4.52 meters, the wheelbase has stretched to 2.75 meters, the width is 1.87 meters, and the height of the body reaches almost 1.6 meters. At the same time, the electric car Toyota C-HR+ still uses the style of a coupe-like crossover with a dynamic tilt of the rear window. Plus, pay attention to the tense lines of the doors, hidden handles behind, a solid lamp - it turned out interesting!

The new Toyota C-HR+ is built on the e- TNGA electric platform and promises a choice of three versions at once. The basic version of the electric car will receive one electric motor (123 kW or 167 hp) and front-wheel drive, as well as a battery with a capacity of 57.7 kWh - it should be enough for a range of up to 455 km according to the WLTP measurement cycle.

The average version of the Toyota C-HR+ will still offer front-wheel drive and one electric motor, but now with increased power (165 kW or 224 hp); plus an increased battery of 77 kW h . – it should be enough for 600 km of run. Finally, the maximum version of the Toyota C-HR+ will be equipped with all-wheel drive with two electric motors with a total power of 252 kW or 343 hp. – and this should provide acceleration to "hundreds" in 5.2 seconds. But with an unchanged battery of 77 kW h , you can count on autonomy of up to 525 km.

Inside, the new Toyota C-HR+ attracts attention with a central 14-inch display, separate climate control temperature control rings, a small graphic digital instrument panel, and dual wireless charging. Other equipment includes the Toyota Safety Sense suite of safety systems, a built-in charging unit with a capacity of up to 11 kW for AC charging (a charging unit with a capacity of up to 22 kW is offered as an option), as well as support for fast charging with a capacity of up to 150 kW from DC sources. Despite the design accents, practicality has not been forgotten either: a trunk with a volume of 416 liters is promised.

It is also promised that sales of the new Toyota C-HR+ electric crossover will begin in Europe in late 2025 or early 2026, depending on the country. We hope to see Ukraine on this list as well.

Updates for Toyota bZ4X, new versions of Lexus RZ

The electric crossover Toyota bZ 4 X is no longer an absolute novelty, as it was released on the market several years ago. That is, the time has come, if not for a complete replacement of the model, but at least for some updates. Externally, they are minimal: we have a new design of the front end and new headlights. But in the cabin there are more significant changes: a 14-inch display has also appeared, the shape of the center console has changed, etc.

The updated Toyota bZ 4 X electric car will also be offered in three versions. The basic version will receive a battery with a capacity of 57.7 kW h and one electric motor (123 kW or 167 hp) that rotates the front wheels. The promised range is up to 445 km. The average version is distinguished by an increased battery with a capacity of 73.1 kW h and a range of up to 573 km, as well as a more powerful electric motor (165 kW or 224 hp), but has an unchanged front-wheel drive. Finally, the maximum version will offer the already known increased battery and a range of up to 520 km, as well as all-wheel drive with a pair of electric motors with a total power of 252 kW or 343 hp.

However, if you are interested in maximum power, then you should pay attention to the Lexus RZ 550 e F Sport . As if living up to its own "loud" name , such an electric car is distinguished by its spectacular appearance with numerous aerodynamic overlays and quite high power - two electric motors develop a total of 300 kW or 408 hp and provide the implementation of all-wheel drive. Acceleration to "hundreds" is promised at 4.4 seconds, the declared range is up to 450 km. In addition, among the interesting new features, one can note the appearance of a gearshift simulation system.

In addition, buyers will be offered a version of the Lexus RZ 500 e , which has all-wheel drive and two electric motors (280 kW or 381 hp) and can cover up to 500 km on one full battery charge. Finally, the model line will also feature a version of the Lexus RZ 350 e : with front-wheel drive and only one electric motor (167 kW or 224 hp), but with the longest range - up to 575 km. For all three versions of the Lexus RZ, the battery is the same, with a capacity of 77 kW h .

I remember that Toyota and Lexus were criticized for their slow development of electric vehicles. However, this example of a triple debut of EVs at once perfectly proves that the Japanese are not abandoning the topic of electric cars and are striving to develop it.
