Google has introduced a new experimental feature called Daily Listen as part of Search Labs. It will allow users to receive short podcasts lasting a few minutes every day in the Google app with a selection of top news and topics they follow, 9to5Google writes.

The new personalized mini-podcasts will appear in a separate tab in the Google app on both Android and iOS. When users go to the Daily Listen section, they will see a new full-size player with text accompaniment.

In the player, users will find the usual controls, such as play and pause, playback speed settings, rewind, and the ability to skip to another story. In addition, links to all the stories that were used to create the podcast will be placed below the player.

After going to the story sources, Google will also offer to find more information on a particular topic if users want to learn more about the latest news.

The new experimental feature is currently available for Android and iOS users in the United States. The company has already begun rolling it out to residents of the country, and the first episode will be available a day after users join the test.

We also remind you that last September, the company introduced a new feature based on generative artificial intelligence in NotebookLM that allows you to turn text notes into podcasts. Later, Meta.
