Google NotebookLM has a new artificial intelligence feature that can generate a podcast from a given document, in which two hosts will discuss the material presented. This was reported by The Verge.
This feature can be useful for people who are better at listening to information, but unfortunately, the service is not yet available in Ukraine.
The option builds on existing NotebookLM features that help you interact with notes, transcripts, and other documents. The app already uses Google’s Gemini AI artificial intelligence model to summarize documents. A similar technology is used to create a podcast.
It is reported that the hosts can be easily confused with real people because of the way they speak emotionally and use jargon. However, there are also slip-ups, and artificial intelligence can misunderstand an abbreviation or a term.
This feature makes learning about research more interesting, but will the hosts maintain their lighthearted, somewhat humorous tone when discussing more serious topics? It’s also worth noting that it’s not the best way to save time, as the hosts add a lot of words on their own.
