Samsung is expanding its line of Galaxy Book laptops with a new model.
The device is called Galaxy Book 5 Pro and comes in two versions: 14-inch and 16-inch. Both variants use the Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2, which is equipped with a 47 teraflops graphics chip for artificial intelligence functions. No information on the storage and RAM is available yet.
Galaxy Book 5 Pro features a Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate that varies depending on the content. The screen also has a Vision Booster function for increased brightness in ambient light. The laptop is equipped with a four-channel audio system (2 tweeters + 2 woofers).
The device also comes with a webcam that supports Staggered HDR technology. It provides a wider dynamic range and better colors by combining multiple frames with different exposures. Galaxy Book 5 Pro also has a backlit keyboard and a large multi-touch trackpad.
Samsung claims that the battery in the Galaxy Book 5 Pro can provide up to 25 hours of active use. The laptop also comes with one HDMI 2.1 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In addition, it has a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy Book 5 Pro has so far been announced for the South Korean market, but it will be available in other countries later. The novelty will be available for purchase on January 2, 2025. Samsung will reveal the price of the laptop later.
