Microsoft is starting to test a new feature called Copilot Vision, which allows artificial intelligence to see the content of a page opened in Edge. AI will answer user questions in a live conversation format. This was reported by The Verge.
The demo video shows that Copilot can help decipher notes with illegible handwriting and suggest ways to cook different dishes. The developers also provide examples of how Copilot can help you search for product reviews, create shopping lists, and learn difficult-to-understand material.
Similar to Recall, this feature may raise privacy concerns.
Microsoft reports that Copilot Vision will be optional and disabled by default. According to the developers, the innovation will initially work only with a limited number of sites.
“As we roll this out, Vision will only interact with a select set of websites to start,” says the Copilot team. “Over time, we will cautiously expand this list. It’s important to stress that Vision does not capture, store or use any data from publishers to train our models.”
Currently, Copilot Vision is in closed testing, which is available only to Copilot Pro subscribers through the Copilot Labs program in the United States.
